MISSION

Develop and implement the strategy, direction, and oversight and day-to-day execution of the company’s Communications and Philanthropy functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee all internal and external communications for both the company and its portfolio of events, ensuring that messaging is clear, consistent, and engaging while modifying tone as needed for the audience or message content.
  • Prepare or oversee the preparation of all company statements/notifications that pertain to company events (e.g. program/service updates, postponements/cancelations, policy or protocol changes, etc.)
  • Oversee the company’s email marketing program, driving efficiencies as event growth scales up
  • Develop and implement the company’s survey strategy to ensure timeliness of surveys and results reporting while ensuring consistency to allow for effectively evaluating and comparing results across events and/or communities
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Creative/Branding, and Community Management teams on design, content, and production of all communication materials
  • Maintain and implement overall website strategy developed by Marketing and Creative teams for the Sixthman brand and individual events
  • Implement and monitor a process for systematic review and proofreading to ensure the accuracy of all outgoing communications
  • Collaborate with company publicist on press releases and media blasts to maximize impact of company communications
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies for a Sixthman loyalty program to promote both overall brand awareness and guest satisfaction and retention
  • Assist with the preparation and review of all company presentations and/or speeches
  • Work cross departmentally to gather feedback and generate new ideas and strategies for continual improvement of all event and company related communications
  • Incorporate Sixthman’s overall strategy, internal execution and external communication of the company’s philanthropy through Give Loud including how the strategy integrates into each event and how it is communicated publicly.
  • Proactively make recommendations to resolve issues and improve processes including recommending new tools/processes to enhance the company’s communication
  • Recommend, develop, and implement process and procedure improvements to support scalability of growth of the Company with focus on increased efficiency, accuracy, cost effectiveness as well as enhancing the company and event brands
  • Attend relevant industry events to build relationships and to monitor best practices and make appropriate recommendations to keep Sixthman on the leading edge of the industry with respect to its communications strategy and execution
  • Additional projects and duties as assigned
  • Attend several of the Company’s events annually and perform various duties onsite which could include communications, media relations, or other roles as assigned with goal of delivering world class experience to guests, artists and partners

QUALIFICATIONS
AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of experience
  • Experience with email marketing service providers, customer data platforms, content management systems, and customer service required
  • Strong social media and PR experience preferred
  • Strong sense of design and art direction
  • Strong sense of conveying tone and brand in communications and messaging
  • Experience with both broad based communications to communities or brands and tailored communications adjusting tone as needed for audience or message
  • Ability to work closely with coworkers across all teams
  • Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to conceptualize ideas and bring them to fruition
  • Detail oriented with high accuracy
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes or challenges
  • Computer proficiency (Email, Word, and strong Excel skills)
