Senior Contracts Specialist
MISSION
|
Lead the management, organization and execution for contracting across all departments and functions for Sixthman as it relates to planning and executing events.

RESPONSIBILITIES
|
- Work with all company departments in the development of overall contract strategy for events with the goal of organizing and executing the most efficient contract process.
- Understand which contracts will require Norwegian legal review and which contracts are exempt and advise departments accordingly.
- Proactively work with the Talent and Business Development departments to build relationships with the major talent agencies to generate jointly approved contract term templates.
- In consultation with appropriate department heads, maintain updated templates for additional various contract types such as host term sheets, sponsorship templates, promotional partner templates, non-disclosure agreements, strategic partner agreements, co-promotion agreements, supplier agreements, consulting agreements, location and onboard filming agreements, guest waivers, etc.
- Establish and continuously review/update guidelines that minimize all forms of risk across every department contract.
- Review contracts for financial accuracy, cabin/room accuracy, performance detail accuracy, addendum and rider specifics edit, as necessary, all contracts, including but not limited to support artist contracts, host contracts, sponsorship, operations, production, independent and vendor contracts and distribute to all relevant SXM teams. Escalate issues to Sixthman’s CFO or to NCL Legal department as needed.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to assure contracts are properly executed with any necessary support documents are collected and organized in an efficient manner with access structured appropriately.
- Evaluate opportunities to eliminate paper contracts where possible such as converting guest waivers to online system
- Coordinate with the accounting department to ensure billing/receiving is being handled in accordance with the contract.
- Evaluate agency/company counter edits to contracts and make edits as needed.
- Track and report on the status of contracts, deposits, W9s, W8s, COIs, Supplier Agreements, etc with appropriate department leaders and SXM Leadership.
- Monitor best practices and make appropriate recommendations to keep Sixthman on the leading edge of industry.
- Additional projects and duties as assigned.
- Attend several of the Company’s festivals annually and perform various duties onsite with goal of providing world class experience to guests, artists and partners.

QUALIFICATIONS
AND EXPERIENCE
|
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
- Prior contracting experience required
- 4+ years of experience preferred, music, entertainment industry background a plus
- Must have good verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organization skills and ability to multitask
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes in a fast paced environment
- Computer proficiency (Email, Word, Google, and strong Excel skills)
