I hope you are well. I’ve been thinking about what I could say to our guest community amidst the environment we are all in together right now. As I have talked to some of you, responded to emails and been in our many event Facebook groups reading your comments, seeing your posts, hearing your thoughts, feeling your feelings and debates about the state of our world, travel and cruising right now—I realized there was nothing I could say about your experience on a Sixthman event you may have later in the year any better than what you are all sharing amongst yourselves right now.

I have been so inspired yet not surprised to see how you continue to look out for each other, how you hold an unwavering passion for each other, for the music, artist, actor, or athlete you love so much and plan to vacation with. You have urged each other to remain calm while respecting the level of this situation. You share your perspectives, respect each other’s opinions and while you don’t always agree—when you don’t, you at least mostly agree to disagree. (sometimes with colorful emojis)

We understand and truly appreciate how much you value your festival with us whether at sea or a resort on land…..in the Caribbean or Mediterranean. We learned years ago that we are not just in the “concert at sea or sand” business, we are in the blessed position to be able to help build and or strengthen passionate fan communities. The strongest sense of community is exactly what we see in action right now and that is what will carry us all through.

From the day we opened nearly 20 years ago to today, 145 events later — the core values of everyone on the Sixthman team and culture overall have been and remain deeply rooted in going above and beyond to super-serve our amazing guests, artists, partners and each other. This is why we exist: To set the stage for moments that last a lifetime.

We are fortunate to have a very strong parent company in Norwegian Cruise Line that brings access to a wide array of resources and support for our chartered sailings to ensure your vacation exceeds expectations. This has been the case for the past eight years, and is firmly in place right now during this unique time we are in and will continue to be so in the years ahead.

We wrapped up our Spring ’20 sailing season on February 22nd and do not have another event until five months from now on August 10th, 2020.  

Given this time until our next event, we continue to stay in very close contact with Norwegian Cruise Line and to share the many proactive and extensive measures they have and continue to put in place while working with the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), the WHO, and CDC to ensure all guests experience a safe and healthy vacation. The steps being taken by NCL are among the most robust protocols in place in the industry. Stay fully updated on real-time updates on those here.

We recognize some of you may have questions. Our Ninjas (Guest Services team), Warriors (Community Leaders) and myself are available to you.
