I trusted in my friend, Angie who asked me atthe last minute to be her cabin mate to guide me in the shows. I couldn't wait to book in 04.<br>The majority of the music I listen to I have discovered because of Sixthman and hearing new bands who are opening for my favorite bands I discovered thanks to TRB. I have enjoyed Sister Hazel, Pat McGee Band, Sons of William, Bain Mattox, Oval Opus, Marc Broussard and so many others.<br>Thanks for making such a great selection of artists available.<br>Melanie Mullikin<br><br>PS: Can we have another Sixthman Sessions show this year, preferably somewhere Iris can get to the show. I just heard a band on 103.7 in Seattle ( this station plays Carbon Leaf , Marc Broussard , Tyrone Wells , Matt Nathanson , Augustana , etc ) that I think has Sixthman all over them. Give a listen to The Avett Brothers. New to me , but judging from their videos at sold out venues and crowd reaction , many know them. They are talented , but also FUN . See ya' in '11 for 11 ! Over many years of attending the Rock Boat, the artists that we have enjoyed the most have been the ones that we had ‘a little of’ in our CD collection, never really toured the UK and had a good back catalogue of albums e.g. The Clarks, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Tonic, Better than Ezra and Stroke9. You have done it again for us this year with Nada Surf – we have been asking for them for years and know that TRB will love them!

It is also nice to see the totally new bands (as in just starting out) too, but their lack of material can make it hard to want to see them more than once let alone over multiple boats.

I discussed with my cabinmates (yes, I'm booked) what we thought would happen this year, and we did predict that the lineup would be "new" but, once again, we've decided to trust sixthman and enjoy whatever they throw our way. So, bring it on :) That said, I would love to see the Clarks and ingram hill back... A lot of new blood or returnees who have been absent the last several boats would be great. I would like to add my voice to the call for David Mead, the Clarks, VaCo, and Ingham Hill. Kudos Andy!
