Something for the new couple….

Picture 1So for about a year now, we have been talking with our technology team about the possibility to allow guests to visit any of our sites and register for a cabin to be paid for by their friends and family members.

Basically, once you pick out the cruise you want, you would notify your friends and family that instead of them all giving you a $20 Gift card to the Apple Store for your birthday or Christmas, you would supply them with a link where they could pay any amount towards your vacation.

Sample choices and amounts would be:

Day by the pool hanging with my favorite bands – $25 (4 available) Front Row Ticket to Rock Concert – $20 (20 available)                  Dance with Lady Luck in Casino – $50 (1 available)

We are really excited about it and hope to roll it out soon, however, we need some other descriptions from you all.

Our goal would be to have 6-8 good descriptions with a price range from $20 to $250 for people to select for them.

Please comment with a description suggestion or any ideas you have to make this more appealing and successful.

Let’s have some fun,

Andy

How about seats in the VIP section for a favorite show? Manicure, Pedicure, Massage. How about ” The Drinks On Me? or a Merch store credit? Merch is where I spend all my money on the boat
My real question is how literal about front row seats. Unless we’re going to have assigned seats, people who stood in line for one of the big shows will get really upset. Just considering I’ve gotten there 2 hours early for the bigger shows on former TRB’s when we had wristbands, and assigned times.

I wouldn’t be too specific.. i.e. “front row” unless you really are reserving front row spots.. I wouldn’t say “manicure, pedicure” because those aren’t part of the standard TRB fare, you don’t want to mislead anyone purchasing the “gift”. I’d make them more generic..

like “day in the sun watching your favorite band”.. or “walking the beach in Cozumel”.. etc.

    This is a great idea!

I LOVE this idea. Some friends of mine registered for their honeymoon in a similar fashion. I think keeping it simple – maybe $25 increments towards cabin costs, then dividing up shore excursions, some casino money, some sign and sail credit, etc – would be great. Allow the registrees to pick and choose which portions they want. With so many couples already having established households, this could be a great alternative!
