Dear Frequent Blog Readers,

I have a confession to make.  I am obsessed.  With what, you ask?  Well…many things.  Fortunately none are as dangerous or scary as that weird movie that just came out with Beyonce and Ali Larter.

sbux Starbucks.  I have always loved frappuccinos from Starbucks, but recently my local barista took frapps to a whole new level.  He put the whipped cream on the bottom of the drink instead of the top.  Genius!  Now I can sip the drink and the whipped cream at the same time through a straw!  If you haven’t tried this, ask for it next time you stop by your favorite S-bux (that’s the slang you use if you’re cool); they may look at you funny, but it is so worth it.

Fafarazzi.  We started a new Fafarazzi Tournament yesterday, and the celebrity OCD has already started.  Maggie Gyllenhaal got married over the weekend!  Pink might be bisexual (this is news?)!  Oprah and Jenny McCarthy begin a joint venture! The Hoff has alcohol poisoning!  Let the day trading begin.

To DosPost-It Note To Do Lists.  I have a horrible memory, so remembering my daily to-dos doesn’t always work.  I tried keeping a list in Entourage or on scrap paper, but it wasn’t something I looked at frequently enough.  I just moved offices at Sixthman and inherited a bulletin board that is bigger than myself, so I came up with a new solution that is working out really well.  I write every task on a Post-It note and tack it up to the board.  Every day, I choose 3 or 4 things that have to get done that day and move them to a separate column.  As soon as the task is complete, I rip the paper off.  It’s quite gratifying, and I can see all of my tasks at a glance.  Just don’t tell the Paperless Team about it.

Moe’s.  Close Talker in a shell with cheese, salsa, cucumbers, black olives, onions, and chipotle ranch dressing.  Heaven in a bowl.  And if I eat it a couple times a week…it’s a good week.

bedroom Home Improvements.  One year after I bought my house, I’m finally getting started on some big improvements.  Over the weekend, my dad and I worked on re-insulating the attic and nailing down some particle board to have some storage space.  We only got through about 1/8th of the job, but it has already made a huge difference!  My home office is now a home office instead of a storage room!  Also working on stripping paint off the baseboards in the bedroom, but after the paint on the wall started peeling off with it (see photo), I decided to stop before I got in way over my head.  This is going to be a bigger project!

Shortening or Combining Words.  It’s all in the name of efficiency!  Why say “totally awesome” when you can say “totes awes”?  Don’t waste your time saying something is “stupid” when you can say it is “the stoop.”  Okay…bad example.    Same number of syllables.  And if you and your friends ever find yourselves talking about Steve Perry, bring up his sweet “Mamel-Toe” if you want to sound totes awes.  Get it?  Male Camel Toe?

What are your current obsessions?
