Vienna Teng – A singer. A pianist. A software engineer?
Not so long ago, being a singer-songwriter was merely a hobby for Vienna Teng, a Stanford computer science grad who was on the fast track to a lucrative career, working as a software engineer in Silicon Valley. But she gave all that up to pursue her musical passions – a risky career move, but one which has paid off. This 20-something has already shared the stage with amazing artists like Indigo Girls, Patty Griffin, and Shawn Colvin…I think she’ll fit right in on her first Cayamo, don’t you?
Check out her killer version of Damien Rice’s Cannonball (very Tori Amos-esque), and her first music video for Gravity.
She has a new album coming out this spring too! Pre-order it here.
Zac Brown – Home Grown, and part of Sixthman’s Foundation
This isn’t Zac’s first rodeo with Sixthman. We’ve been fortunate enough to have him join us on many, many Sixthman events – including the time we threw him on a tour bus with another band called Wideawake and sent them on a 20 city tour called The Rock Bus. He has been a true gem to us, and we can’t wait to share him with our Cayamo family.
Zac has had a big year in the country-music world with radio hit Chicken Fried (you may have heard of it), and is even nominated for ACM’s Best New Artist award. This award is largely fan based, so click here to vote for Zac!
It’s hard to choose a favorite song of his, but these two put me in a good mood every time I hear them…
Every Little Bit :
Beth Wood – A multi-instrumentalist with a penchant for baking
This is Beth’s second trip on Cayamo, and we couldn’t be more pleased to have her back. She, like fellow Cayamo artist Joe Ely, is from Lubbock, Texas – a city rich in musical heritage. Over a dozen years ago, she gave up her day job to persue music full time and hasn’t looked back since. We’re glad she made the leap.
Last year, she released her 7th independent CD – Beachcomber’s Daugher – onboard Cayamo. Purchase it from iTunes here! 16 songs under $10. You can’t beat it!
